Purpose of the role

  • In your role as AP Financial Process Accountant, you will be part of the Accounts Payable team of the European Service Center. Key is to understand & become fully familiar with the daily accounts payable operations of the different companies, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of the Finance related processes. As an AP Financial Process Accountant, you will be responsible for these finance improvement projects, their implementation and follow up. You will also provide support & advice to the EMEA business by understanding the business flows of the group, while acting as a central point of contact for accounts payable related matters within the group.

Principal responsibilities

 Process and systems 

  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve quality and efficiency in payment and other accounts payable processes.
  • Review and recommend modifications to payment and accounts payable systems and procedures.
  • Develop and document business processes and account payable policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Accounts payable responsibilities

  • Participate in payment operations.
  • Participate in processing of incoming invoices.

Support month-end and year-end close process

Jouw profiel

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance or Accounting.

 

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience within accounts payable functions and the payment process, preferably in an international organization.
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP-tool (SAP, JDE, …) and all its processes.
  • Experience with Project Management is recommended.

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

Language skills

  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English is required.
  • Other European language skills are considered as an asset.

 

Other skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
