Financial Controller

For our client, a renowned international company in the region of Wavre, we are looking for a Financial Controller

Your job

Your Mission:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and to the European Finance Director, you will for the entities in Belgium/France:

• Challenge financial data’s and ensure the entire financial control of all the ongoing projects;
• Provide financial support to projects managers and organize projects review ;
• Provide in-depth financial business analyses to the BU and Group Management to support business decisions;
• Understand and control overheads costs;
• Responsible for accurate and timely monthly closing;
• Supervise and control budgeting, reporting and re-forecasting process in co-operation with the Region Finance Director;
• Analyze and challenge budgets/forecasts and propose, if needed, corrective actions;
• Prepare cash-flow every month and explain deviations;
• Assure and enhance the accuracy, quality and timeliness of management and business reporting according to the group requirements;
• Make sure that guidelines and procedures given by the group are correctly implemented and followed within the company;
• Ensure adequacy of internal financial controls and respect of the Group financial and reporting rules and guidelines;
• Be the Financial focus point for the company; also be the contact person for the external audit;
• Work closely with the accounting team, the group controller and local management

Your profile

• University Degree in Finance or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Controlling or in audit, ideally with exposure to a project based industrial environment,
• Very good knowledge of French and English is required,
• Good general IT literacy,
