For our client, a renowned international company based in the Zaventem / Diegem region, we are currently looking for a Business Reporting Analyst.
Role
The Business reporting analyst supports the finance department as well as the senior management and management team, by structuring the business information related to the different business processes throughout the organization. He/she has the objective to coordinate and structure the different data streams to present the information in a logical, transparent, well defined and efficient way. The performance controller has accountability for the reporting environment and in this sense has to make a proper analysis of the environment and make recommendations for improvements and implement them.
Key responsibilities
- She/he is responsible for the management reporting set-up within the controlling department and supports the financial reporting process from a corporate point of view in terms of providing the right data sets needed to fulfill the corporate requirements
- The business reporting analyst is keen on searching to optimize the reporting process in terms of preparation and availability/access to it.
- Transforming the available information streams into usable business steering information by means of transparent, structured and easy to understand management reporting
- Set-up of specific standard reports in a logic presentation and including description of reporting and definition of variables, starting with a clear analysis of the reporting needs and considering corporate reporting requirements
- Search for synergies within the department to streamline information delivery, optimize the reporting processes to avoid possible errors.
- Assist in defining and describing the different fields used within reporting and setting up a KPI library in a structured and well-defined way. By doing this, supporting the data quality process and assuring that correct data usage is embedded within the department and organization
Requirements for the role
- You hold a University degree in Economics, Finance or Management.
- You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis, data analysis or corporate reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, SAP BPC and/or SAS are assets.
- You feel comfortable in complex and fast paced international environment.
- You have experience in analyzing information needs of the business/finance and translation them in useful and fancy reporting.
- You can handle situations that require analytical thinking, interpretation and judgment to continuously optimize solutions.
- You are IT-savvy and are an experienced user of reporting tools.
- You have strong planning & organization skills.
- You are stress resistant and are able to meet tight deadlines.
