EMEA Finance Director


For our client, a renowned international company that designs, manufactures, and sells compact construction machines and equipment, we are currently looking for a Finance Director EMEA.


The Finance Director EMEA will be a key member of the EMEA executive leadership team. (S)he will play an integral role in bringing together the finance department and company in executing the company’s global strategy in partnership with the regional and global leadership team.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Oversee and lead the European accounting and FP&A teams.
  • Act as key sparing partner to the EMEA President in order to support transformation and stimulate profitable growth in the EMEA region.
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning, reports, and analysis to the regional and global leadership team.
  • Leverage financial information to identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
  • Evaluate profitability of new projects (new products, capacity expansion, make vs. buy etc.) and ensure their good planning and track execution.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial statements.
  • Comply with national and group financial standards.
  • Track cash flow and perform risk management.
  • Represent the region in contact with internal and external auditors.
  • Support the implementation of the new ERP (Oracle) in the region.


  • You hold a master’s degree in finance, business or accounting. An additional MBA is an asset.
  • You have an extensive > 15 years of experience in financial leadership role in a global or regional-focused environment, including oversight and development of teams, efficient allocation of resources, etc.…
  • You have demonstrated your ability as a key strategic partner, supporting growth and transformation in a manufacturing environment.
  • You have acquired knowledge in different areas of business finance (commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering…) combined with sound accounting knowledge.
  • You have the ability to play a key role in financial planning and forecasting as well as closing cycles, delivering quality results in a timely manner.
  • You have proven experience in project evaluation, cost reduction initiatives, and process enhancement.
  • You are familiar with ERP environments (Oracle preferred).
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a good business acumen.
  • You have effective communication and leadership skills that allow you to earn respect from peers and partners.
  • You can adapt to changing business environment and to lead through transformation.
  • You are energetic and passionate and operate with a strong sense of ownership/accountability for results.
  • You can cope with ambiguity, are able to multi-task and can effectively split time between strategy development and execution.
  • You live in the Brussels area.
