For our client, one of the world’s leading commercial real estate services, we are looking for a 

Facilities Manager

Our client provides a fully integrated platform of services to prominent multinational corporations and institutional investors across the globe, as well as to occupiers, owners and developers of real estate on a local, regional and national level.

The role
The Facilities Manager (FM) is responsible for the FM operations and maintenance of the R&D facilities on site.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of all services towards our client according to our global Master Service Agreement and Key Performance Indicators
  • Act as the liaison between Site maintenance, Manufacturing, Research & Development and Corporate Facilities (attends daily operational meetings)
  • Manage a team of 5,5 FTE (outsourced)
  • Responsible for the services we provide through different hard service suppliers
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure that direct reports and outsourced partners are carrying out their responsibilities in a manner consistent with high-quality maintenance and financial control
  • Supervise Facilities Management staff and supply chain vendors
  • Plan and organize Reactive work order requests, Preventative Maintenance Programs, Facility Management Projects
  • Provide continuous operational improvement towards the customer and vendors
  • Ensure that the property and vendors comply with local environmental, health & safety legislation, and adherence to company and client policies and maintain records to this effect
  • Conduct risk analyses and control measures in according with the Standard Operating Procedures and the Safety Regulations
  • Supervise the safety, health and welfare aspects of the customer, employees and vendors.
  • Responsible for the Facility Management budget and cost control.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant professional experience as a Facilities Manager
  • General Safety Approval Certificate is a nice to have
  • Advanced technical knowledge (HVAC, electrical, …) preferably within the chemical/industrial arena
  • Solid experience within facilities management and building operations
  • Comfortable in discussing technical installations with key stakeholders having fulfilled a similar technical facilities management and building operations role previously
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining technical installations specifications and updating asset lists, maintenance schedules according to equipment condition and status
  • Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills
  • Good financial acumen, experience with budgets, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, team player and able to multi task
  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian statutory requirements
  • Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
  • Fluent in written and verbal English and French, Dutch is an added value.
