Finance Business Partner Operations
This is a unique opportunity to have a real impact on Operations and make a difference in a professional and international environment This is a hybrid role, with the option to work both remotely and from the office in Vilvoorde.
Role Overview:
As a Finance Business Partner Operations, you will primarily support the Operations department by providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to drive effective decision-making. You will collaborate closely with our Chief Operations Officer and his operational leaders to develop and implement financial strategies, optimize operational performance, and achieve key business objectives.
Position:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
- Conduct variance analysis to track actual performance against budgets and provide meaningful explanations for deviations.
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making
Cost Management:
- Partner with Operations leaders to monitor and analyse operational costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures and develop strategies to optimize operational expenses without compromising quality and efficiency.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making and risk assessment.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations and track performance against targets.
- Provide regular performance reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
Financial Reporting:
Through coaching an operational financial analyst:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly management reports, operational dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and insights to Operations stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication of complex financial concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational objectives and develop actionable plans.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Strategic Partnership:
- Build strong relationships with Operations leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Provide financial guidance and support during operational initiatives, such as process improvements and cost-saving projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve business goals.
Profile:
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics.
- You have Minimum 5 of experience as consultant, auditor, business controller, business analyst or financial analyst.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including cost analysis and variance reporting.
- Proficient in using financial systems, reporting and analysis tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Power BI) to manage and analyse data.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational challenges and opportunities with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- English is the business language, but a strong knowledge of Dutch or French is desirable.
- Headquarters in Vilvoorde, but travel required to other depots throughout Belux for proximity to our operations
