For our client, a leading European company, specializing in passenger train and locomotive leasing, we are currently looking for a:
Fleet Planning Manager
The Fleet Planning Manager is a key figure within the Services Team of the Operations Department, responsible for managing full-service maintenance suppliers to ensure that all services are delivered in line with contractual expectations.
Acting as a central point of contact, the role requires strong communication skills, good contractual understanding, and the ability to take proactive / informed decisions based on input from suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
The Fleet Planning Manager oversees service performance, monitors contractual KPIs (e.g. availability, mileage), ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and supports cross-functional coordination. Successfully navigating the relationship internally, the supplier, and the customer ensures operational alignment and supports a high level of customer satisfaction.
Profile
We are looking for someone who is passionate about contract management and all her details.
Who wants to optimize fleet operations and to ensure seamless locomotive performance. For this role you have at least 5 years of experience as an account manager, inside sales, customer sales or….. in an international environment.
Basic understanding of locomotives is a plus. Technical skills as well. You have strong administrative skills like advanced proficiency of MS Office applications, top-notch Excel skills and juggling with maintenance schedules.
Strong analytical capabilities and a proactive problem solver. You take the lead in your job and can manage your own tasks and planning. You know what is urgent and what is not. You love to work in an environment that can be stressful because of the ad-hoc demands and can come to a standstill even fast.
You can manage complex stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly. You are customer focused and are dedicated to delivering excellent services. You love to manage data and present the solutions based on data analysis.
You are fluent in English. Proficiency in German is a strong advantage. You can commute to Antwerp easily.
