Global SIOP Lead
Role
The Global SIOP Lead has a critical role to own and drive the global SIOP process to excellence. This role will involve leading global SIOP planning processes across 3 regional hubs, driving demand, supply and inventory planning improvements, and collaborating with various functions to ensure effective inventory management.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead and own the Global SIOP process, culminating in chairing the monthly global executive SIOP
- Conduct & facilitate monthly SIOP meetings to ensure team alignment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, procurement & supplier relations, finance) to ensure alignment on supply, demand and inventory and drive business growth and optimization
- Maximize sales and service levels; minimize inventory and obsolescence
- Develop and execute a comprehensive demand planning strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply planning strategy resulting in the fit-for-purpose inventory levels throughout the global network
- Ensure proper supply chain planning to fulfill customer demand and reduce stock outs/backorders
- Serve as the global subject matter expert for supply & demand planning, network and inventory optimization and integration of new business and product launches
- Establish global best practice supply, demand & inventory planning processes anchored in SIOP principles, ensuring standardization, simplification, and differentiation where it adds value
- Refine the SIOP process & governance, create standard procedures, and lead initiatives supporting SIOP, including implementing planning software
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies in the global supply, demand & inventory planning process and establish capabilities for the total global function.
Profile
- Master degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Finance or Supply Chain
- Minimally 10 years of relevant Supply Chain Planning professional experience, ideally in construction, assembly or automotive with exposure to multi-echelon SIOP Processes
- Experience in a global environment is desired including minimum 5 years management/leadership experience
- Experience in Project management and profoundly process oriented
- Knowledge of capturing business needs and improving customer service level
- High digital literacy and high proficiency in major IT tools (Oracle, Office 365)
- APICS certification, CPIM/CIRM, SCOR experience is a plus
- Experience in End-to-end optimization and process design is an asset
- High focus on data and metrics and experience in controlling group wide operational KPIs is an asset
- Language skills: fluent in English, other languages are a plus
