For our client, a leading global company with headquarters in Aalst, we are currently looking for a:

Group Treasury Analyst

The Treasury analyst is part of the Corporate Finance team and contribute to the day-to-day Treasury operations of a dynamic global company. As a Treasury Analyst, you’ll play a key role in managing financial resources, ensuring liquidity, and minimizing financial risks.

Role Overview
This role offers the opportunity to engage in both strategic planning and hands-on implementation, making a meaningful impact on our company’s cash management and risk practices.
You’ll have the chance to develop technical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment, participate in cross-functional projects, and play a vital role in driving treasury excellence across the group. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:
Working Capital Management:

  • Oversee our factoring program, including submissions, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with local finance teams to optimize existing processes.
  • Analyze and propose solutions to improve working capital performance.
  • Reporting and analysis: Co-develop, roll out and maintain modelling tools to assess the impact of payment terms on profitability and working capital performance.

Treasury Operations:

  • Confirm and settle FX, commodity, and interest rate transactions.
  • Assist in month-end accounting activities like revaluations, interest accruals, and reporting.
  • Maintain dashboards to track KPIs and provide actionable insights.

Cash Management and Risk Oversight:
Contribute to the strategic setup and operational optimization of our cash management framework by:

  • Supporting the opening, closing, and rationalization of bank accounts and cash management structures in collaboration with the Cash Manager.
  • Managing banking systems, portals, and account signatories while ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinating KYC requirements and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting in the rollout and maintenance of Treasury policies and procedures.
  • Providing required financial information to external stakeholders as part of group facilities documentation.

Ad-Hoc Support and Treasury Reporting:
Contribute to strategic projects and reporting initiatives by:

  • Providing support for treasury-related projects, including analysis, implementation, and process improvements.
  • Preparing detailed treasury reports, dashboards, and metrics to inform decision-making and track key performance indicators.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of cash flow forecasting models, consolidating inputs from various divisions.
  • Monitoring bank counterparty risk and supporting the team in identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Acting as a backup for key Treasury roles to ensure seamless operations during absences.
  • Participating in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the line manager.

Profile:
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a technical finance role. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A completed Treasury or Corporate Finance training / Certificate will be considered as a plus.
  • 3- 5 years of experience in treasury (consulting) or a related cash management or corporate finance field.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with tools like PowerQuery and PowerBI is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
