For our client, a leading Belgian family-owned company and manufacturer located in the North of Antwerp, active in school and office supplies, we are looking for an

International Business Developer

The International Business Developer will help explore new markets and seize opportunities in new European countries. With your creative ideas and strategic approach, you can accelerate the growth story on an international level.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Market and Customer Analysis at European Level: You will map the market and identify potential customers and partners across the European market (retailers, school and office suppliers, purchasing groups, wholesalers, major B2B players, etc.).
  • Building a European Customer Base: You will approach potential customers and introduce our client to them. You will build long-term customer relationships with them.
  • Market Exploration and Product Development: Working with the team, you will develop new product-market combinations and test them in practice.
  • Ownership of Your Own Sales Cycle: From prospecting to closing deals, you own the entire process and report to the Sales Director.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: You will be supported by a team of account managers for quotes, market insights, and product information.

Who Are You?

  • Education and Experience: You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or have equivalent experience.
  • Commercial Flair: You enjoy networking, are results-oriented, and love building long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Drive and Ambition: You see achieving goals as a challenge and have the ambition to conquer new markets.
  • Strong Communicator: You speak English fluently and/or have good knowledge of German, French, and Dutch.
  • Experience in B2B and International Trade: You have prior experience with international markets and B2B sales within paper, schoolbooks, and/or office supplies. You already have a network in wholesale, purchasing groups or Retail.
  • Digital Skills: You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated and Autonomous: You thrive on challenges, can work independently, and are a true team player. You get energy from your results, teamwork, and the impact you can make in an organization undergoing change.
  • Willingness to Travel: Depending on your location, the frequency of visits to the office can be discussed.
