International Tax Compliance Manager

The Position

Our client is seeking an International Tax Compliance Manager to join their team in a newly created role. As they shape their tax environment, you will play a pivotal role in providing tax advice and support in international corporate tax and transfer pricing compliance. Given their ongoing efforts to establish the Tax department, your expertise will contribute to the development of their tax compliance framework. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing internal controls, and ensuring tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a central point of contact to provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on (international) tax/TP compliance matters.
  • Deploy and maintain relevant tax/TP compliance policies/guidelines and corresponding processes.
  • Taking the lead in (non-strategic) tax compliance projects and support the Tax Director in strategic tax compliance projects.
  • Implement internal controls to oversee correct application of tax/TP compliance policies and TP documentation.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, treasury, and operational teams, to ensure compliance with international and local tax regulations and alignment of international tax/TP compliance with business operations and objectives.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and tax authorities in view of tax and TP audits  and fulfilling tax compliance requirements (e.g. tax residence certificates).
  • Manage internal and external tax reporting accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to control, streamline and improve international tax and TP compliance processes (e.g. guidelines for internal tax reporting/procedures, tax risk management etc.), including the utilization of technology and automation tools.
  • Provide ad-hoc tax advisory and project-related support.


  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or law, with a minimum of a minimum of 5-7 years of pertinent experience.
  • Strong understanding of international tax laws, regulations, and transfer pricing principles.
  • ITAA tax advisor certification is a plus.
  • International tax and TP compliance, acquired through employment in the tax department of a multinational corporation (preferred) and/or a tax consulting firm.
  • Additional VAT experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in general accounting and finance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing tax compliance processes and projects.
  • Practical experience in preparing transfer pricing documentation.
  • Digital proficiency in tax research tools, software, and financial systems.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, with French and/or German proficiency as a plus.
