For our client, an international leading manufacturer of Room Ventilation systems, Gas flue solutions and a wide range of building products focusing on air- and watertightness of the building envelope , we are looking for a new General Manager Belgium.
The GM will define, together with the responsible Business Unit Directors, the country specific marketing & sales plans and be responsible for the local execution. He/she will be responsible to implement and translate the group strategy into local strategy and action plan to achieve the P&L targets on the different product categories.

  • In alignment with the responsible Business Unit Directors, contribute to the development of the long-term strategic plan and defining the annual budget. Set performance goals for direct reports in line with the company and corporate procedures and guidelines. Execute and realize the annual budget and set performance goals for the MT members. Manage pricing policy and contracts with key-accounts in coordination with the sales team.
  • Develop, implement and execute a sales plan for key accounts in accordance with the Business Unit’s sales strategy in order to establish and maintain a strong market presence and performance. Visit, inform, advise, follow-up and negotiate with key accounts about (annual) contracts and prices within the given authority level in order to build up and maintain strong relationships and market share.
  • Monitor possible business development opportunities in existing or new markets based on market information and trends in order to develop a product portfolio that meets customer demands.
  • Organize customer sales support from order intake, warehousing and shipment including complaint handling according to company procedures and guidelines to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Report on a monthly basis to the responsible Business Unit Directors to assure that relevant information is at the Management’s disposal.
  • Co-define together with the Group Marketing Director the country specific marketing plan and supervise effective execution.
  • Provide direction to strategies for the relevant Business Units, including country specific product portfolio needs.
  • Together with Group HR, implement the Group HR strategy, policies and guidelines and develop and grow the employees to the required competence level.
  • Respect the corporate guidelines and procedures as defined in the rules of internal Procedure.
  • Manage and support the local management team in planning and developing the company in line with the corporate business model.
  • Oversee that management directives and KPI’s are in line with business strategy.
  • To monitor results versus budget and have corrective actions taken.

Your profile:

  • You have a relevant academic degree, a Master in Business Management or equivalent
  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience in leading a (hands-on) organization and sales  

          team by example

  •  You have relevant experience from the heating (HVAC) business with a preference the

           ventilations sector.

  • You have a proven track record in establishing sales growth and reach profitability

          targets.

  • You have excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • You have a sociable personality, are team oriented, and collaborative.
  • You are customer focussed, self-starter and innovative
  • You speak fluent Dutch, English and ideally French at a decent level.
  • You are result- and solution oriented  and analytical and finacially oriented
  • You are hands-on but can easily hold the helicopter view on the business.
  • Experience in an international and/or matrix organization is a plus.
