For our customer 3D Systems Leuven, Bakker & Partners is looking for a Business Process Analyst.

The position will be based in Leuven but will also work remotely with the US.

Business Process Analyst

The Position

Being a fast-growing company, 3D Systems focuses strongly on setting up and improving its processes and systems. The Business Process Analyst will play an important role in this, connecting the business processes and requirements with software solutions.
This position is part of the Parts Manufacturing Organization (3D metal printing and post processing of parts for customers in healthcare, aerospace, tooling, etc.) and will focus on all related processes, including order management, production, powder management, quality management and logistics.
You will work closely with the various internal departments, management and external software partners to understand and map the business processes, write software user requirements, and lead the validation and implementation of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to determine, gather and analyse business requirements and use cases for large, complex technology projects and map them to software solutions.
  • Validate and verify all requirements, making sure they map to the business need being addressed, are approved by the appropriate stakeholders (including the Steering Committee) and meet relevant quality standards.
  • Work with developers, project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance staff to ensure that they fully understand the requirements.
  • Organize and maintain business requirements per application per implementation phase.
  • Report out to management about the requirements, mapped solutions and potential gaps in the provided solution, assigning the appropriate priorities.
  • Prepare software validation documentation to validate the software for the intended use and collect approvals from the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop validation test cases, perform testing and report out the test results.
  • Collaborate with end-users to create and maintain training materials.
  • Meet with key business partners regularly to uncover business issues that need to be addressed in future releases of the sales & services technology frameworks, and partner to identify opportunities for process optimization and redesign.

Profile

  • You hold a Master or Bachelor degree, preferably in a technical field. Affinity with technology and manufacturing processes is required to understand the processes and requirements in depth.
  • You have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role, leading business process optimization and software integration projects, preferably in a manufacturing/technical environment.
  • You have strong analytical and organizational. Ability to manage release cycles by analyzing requirements, obtaining prioritization from the business, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications, and working with Development and QA to ensure business needs are met.
  • Ability to develop and apply a structured methodology to the specification of requirements, ensuring that all requirements are in a standardized layout and can be easily shared and understood by all  stakeholders.
  • Communicative, able to communicate effectively with operations, higher management, software partners, etc.
  • Strong people skills, approachable, listen to people, coach your stakeholders. You are assertive and decisive where necessary and able to motivate and lead people to meet functional objectives.
  • Agile, able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
