What is your role?
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the advancement and enhancement of 3D metal printing technologies. Collaborating closely with R&D and customers, you will spearhead the development and validation of additive manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with industry requirements and regulations.
More specifically you have the following responsibilities:
- Parameter Development: Develop new process parameters for existing materials, tailored to meet specific customer requirements or to enhance productivity and quality.
- Process Validation: Validate new processes on various test samples to ensure efficacy and reliability.
- Standards Compliance: Stay abreast of medical and industry standards and regulations, conduct gap analyses, and collaborate with R&D to develop and implement tools for compliance.
- Documentation: Generate comprehensive documentation to demonstrate compliance with standards and internal/customer protocols.
- Professional Services: Provide professional services to customers, including validations of 3D metal printing systems.
- Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites for meetings, validations, and knowledge transfer (approximately 10% with possible peaks of up to 20-25%, primarily within the EMEA region).

Who are you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (materials, mechanical, etc.).
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant position such as process engineer, R&D engineer, material development, …
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) is required.
- Experience in Additive Manufacturing, particularly with metals, is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with highly regulated environments such as aerospace (AS9100) or medical device (ISO 13485) is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and design engineering specifications across various products and materials.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop engineering processes for advanced technology implementations.
- Show initiative and strong ability to learn.
- A commitment to advancing additive manufacturing in industry.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Dutch is desirable.
