For our client, a leading European company, specializing in passenger train and locomotive leasing, we are currently looking for a:

Fleet Planning Manager

Position

  • Fleet Monitoring: Keep a close eye on our locomotive fleet’s status, whether operational, on/off lease, or in maintenance, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts for fleet planning, aiding in remarketing efforts and ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Inspection Protocols: Prepare detailed delivery and re-delivery inspection protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Utilization Reporting: Monitor and report on fleet utilization, tracking engine and running hours, as well as kilometers covered.
  • Customer and Service Provider Liaison: Collaborate with full-service providers and customers, supporting commercial managers and the full-service manager to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintenance Supervision: Oversee maintenance planning to minimize locomotive downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Forward Planning: Manage the fleet’s heavy maintenance history to ensure accurate forward planning and maintenance schedules.
  • Breakdown Management: Handle breakdowns, failures, and repair requests for locomotives under Full Service, ensuring quick resolutions.
  • System Input: Provide essential input into fleet planning tools and ERP systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Profile

We are looking for someone who is passionate about optimizing fleet operations and ensuring seamless locomotive performance with at least 3 years of experience to keep our locomotive fleet running smoothly! If you’re a pro at juggling maintenance schedules, fleet monitoring, and forecasting with top-notch Excel skills, all while keeping customers happy, we want to hear from you. Bonus points if you speak both English and German and thrive on adapting to whatever challenges roll your way!
If you are excited about joining our team, here is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

  • Administrative background with preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Strong technical understanding and advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in English and German; knowledge of any other European language is an asset.
