For our client, a leading global company with headquarters in Aalst, we are currently looking for a:
(Senior) Treasury Analyst
The Treasury analyst is – as a part of the Corporate Finance team- responsible for managing the company’s financial resources, ensuring optimal liquidity, and minimizing financial risk. He/she will own the back-office activities and ensure optimal visibility on Treasury Operations and KPI’s.
Role Overview:
Working Capital Activities:
- Managing the factoring program including:
- Daily and monthly submissions of receivables information to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain master data related to credit and factoring limits.
- Assess and identify new customers eligible for factoring.
- Track, monitor and report on factoring usage and conditions.
- Prepare and provide all necessary information (documentation and process insights) for the annual factoring audit.
- Collaborate with the local finance teams on all elements related to running and optimizing factoring programs.
- Identify and implement potential efficiencies and improvements in the process.
- Participate in the identification of additional working capital financing solutions:
- Analysis of requirements and identification of possible solutions.
- Implementation support.
- Manage, monitor and report on any newly implemented solutions.
- Develop, roll out and maintain modelling tools, in close cooperation with other departments, related to assessing the impact of changes in payment terms for customers and suppliers on profitability and working capital performance.
Working Capital reporting and analysis:
- Track and monitor conditions of all existing Working Capital financing solutions.
- Maintain and improve the Factoring and overdue (KPI) dashboards.
- Implement and roll out any additional KPI’s and dashboards as required.
- Monitor Working Capital, key performance indicators and variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and liaise with internal stakeholders to effect resulting action plans.
- Identify opportunities to optimize working capital, reduce cash conversion cycles, and enhance liquidity.
Back-office activities:
- Deal confirmation of all executed deals (e.g. spot and forward FX deals, commodity deals, interest rate transactions, investments, …).
- Provide timely settlement instructions, execute settlement processes for all FX, commodity, interest rate, borrowing and investment transactions.
Accounting / Month end activities:
- Posting of executed deals in accounting system for FX spot, and FX forward deals and commodity hedging contracts, including settlement postings.
- Month end closing activities related to:
- Revaluation of internal and external bank accounts, foreign currency internal and externa loans and deposits or other ST cash investments.
- Interest accruals on internal and external loans and deposits or similar instruments.
- MtM revaluations of financial instruments (Interest rate swaps, commodity transactions, …).
- Amortization of financing related fees.
- Provide monthly market rates for Inhouse bank purposes: interest and foreign exchange rates.
Corporate housekeeping & Risk management:
- In close cooperation with Cash manager, Opening and closing of bank accounts, including tracking, monitoring, reporting and optimization / rationalization of Cash Management infrastructure(s).
- Manage the KYC requirements, liaising with internal stakeholders as required.
- Management of local and Group banking portals and any related systems.
- Management of bank account signatories (electronic and paper) including tracking, monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to Treasury Operations.
- Support the team with the rollout of Treasury policies and procedures.
- Provide annual accounts to external parties as per group facilities documentation.
Ad hoc / Treasury reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analyses on various treasury matters, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
- Process Improvements: Identify and implement enhancements in treasury processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and performance.
- Monitor bank efficiency and performance and recommend changes to Cash Management setup and bank account structures when necessary to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Prepare, consolidate and publish treasury reports, dashboards and metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on working capital metrics, trends, and key performance indicators.
- Develop and prepare Bank counterparty risk monitoring and reporting and in close cooperation with the rest of the Treasury team identify and implement any risk reduction or mitigating actions.
- Act as backup for the Cash Manager and other members of the Treasury team as needed.
- Build / maintain rolling (direct) cash flow forecasting model and consolidation of inputs from divisions.
Conduct or participate in any other activities or projects as requested by the line manager.
Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of treasury operations.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent field. A completed Treasury or Corporate Finance training / Certificate will be considered as a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury (consulting) or a related financial field.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerQuery, and PowerBI to analyse data and present findings effectively
- Excellent quantitative and strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Be a team player, connecting well with colleagues and stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker with a passion for Treasury Operations and financial management.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
