What is your role?
You are part of the quality organization and report to the Quality Manager.
In short:
- Within the Quality Engineering team you will be the expert for inspection equipment and methods.
- You will manage all aspects of new and existing inspection equipment (installation, qualification, calibration, troubleshooting)
- You will lead continuous improvement projects for QC.
- You will support the Supplier Quality activities.
More specifically you have the following responsibilities:
- You gain in-depth knowledge of inspection equipment and methods and use this knowledge to support the manufacturing and quality operations.
- You keep actively informed about new technologies and possibilities in the market and drive innovation with regards to quality control and inspection equipment.
- You will take the lead in installation, validation, training, troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.
- You perform Measurement System Analysis to evaluate measurement systems and you lead risk assessments related to the inspection equipment and method through pFMEA.
- From your analytical and continuous improvement mindset, you identify opportunities for optimization and initiate improvement projects (f.e. automation, in/outsourcing).
- As a back-up for Supplier Quality Assurance you will be involved in creating supplier specifications and nonconformities, supplier audits and supplier validation activities.

Who are you?
- You obtained a master’s degree in engineering
- You have minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, as quality engineer or process/manufacturing engineer.
- You preferably gained experience in a high regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, medical devices) and in manufacturing of high quality and high precision components (understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
- You are interested in the field of quality control/measurements and preferably already have experience with inspection equipment and methods such as optical and mechanical testing and hand measurement tools.
- Knowledge of MSA (Measurement System Analysis) studies, pFMEA, statistical process controls, calibration.
- Familiarity with quality system standards (ie. ISO 17025, AS9100, ISO 13485) is a plus.
- Good analytical skills and continuous improvement mind-set.
- You are able both to work independently and to collaborate with different departments and people.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
