Supervisor Accounting
The Position:
As a Supervisor Accounting, you will oversee financial operations, manage a team of accountants, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit risk management, treasury, and the general ledger.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting records with GAAP.
- Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate both external and internal audits.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
The Profile:
- Possess a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Have at least 5 years of accounting experience, with leadership experience being an asset.
- Proficient in ERP/Accounting software, such as Oracle.
- Exhibit strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft products, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of GAAP, including IFRS and Belgian GAAP.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excel in communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
